About Me

Hi, I am Minh Tu Chau! I am currently pursuing a degree in computer engineering at Concordia University. My academic journey allowed me to complete various projects that are practical and theoretical. I am proficient in programming in Java and C++ since my courses were mainly based on these languages. I have a strong foundation in algorithm development, data structure, digital systems, and web design. I love designing solutions for problems that involve all sorts of coding or hardware. Personally, I challenge myself to learn new skills and infuse them with my creativity. I look forward to keep learning and creating.

Relevant courses: Programming Methodology I-II, Computer Organization and Software, Operating System, Introduction to Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures and Algorithms, Digital Systems

My Projects

Project of integration in CEGEP

In this project, we built an alarm system that alerts the user that someone entered a room. To accomplish this, research on lasers, photo-resistors, transistors, magnets and circuits needed to be done.

Here is the simplified circuit in the box. In fact, we added a switch composed of a magnet that activates the alarm system. In fact, if the magnet is not placed properly, the circuit is cut and the alarm system doesn't work.

Digital system project

In this project, the job demanded for this project was to build a digital system from scratch. This digital system had to complete the task of counting the amount of people in a room. Also, the room has a max occupancy of 63 people. When that limit is reached, the room emits a red light. The system needs a synchronous reset system to reset the count of people to zero.

Home Project 1

This project is a straightforward Morse Code translator designed for the Arduino UNO. It offers an enjoyable and uncomplicated project, well-suited for those with just a single LED and an Arduino board.

Home Project 2

This project offers a way to assess the operational functionality of a photoresistor. By incorporating a buzzer, resistors, and a photoresistor, you can observe how the sensor responds to changes in light intensity.
